AI Policy

At Elite Pulse Global, we embrace emerging technologies—including generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) tools like large language models, image generators, and data analysis assistants—to enhance our journalism, analysis, and thought leadership. However, our core commitment remains unchanged: delivering accurate, independent, human-driven content that earns and maintains reader trust.

This policy outlines how we responsibly use GenAI in our workflows. It builds on our Editorial Code of Ethics and applies to all staff, contributors, and editorial processes. We prioritize human judgment, accountability, and transparency above all.

1. Guiding Principles

  • Human Responsibility First — All published content must originate from, be overseen by, and remain fully accountable to human journalists and editors. GenAI is a tool to assist, not replace, human expertise.
  • Transparency to Readers — When GenAI plays a substantial role in content creation, we disclose it clearly so readers understand our process.
  • Accuracy and Verification — GenAI outputs are treated as unvetted source material. All facts, claims, quotes, data, and analysis must be independently verified using credible, primary sources.
  • Ethical & Bias-Aware Use — We mitigate risks of hallucination, bias, plagiarism, or misinformation inherent in GenAI by applying rigorous human review.
  • No Undisclosed AI-Generated Content — We do not publish articles, analyses, or media drafted primarily by GenAI without explicit human authorship and disclosure.

2. Permitted Uses of Generative AI

GenAI may support editorial workflows in these approved, supervised cases:

  • Research & Ideation — Brainstorming angles, summarizing large datasets, suggesting interview questions, or identifying patterns in public information.
  • Drafting Aids — Generating initial outlines, headline/subheadline options, social media copy, SEO metadata, or summaries of our own articles (always heavily revised by humans).
  • Editing & Enhancement — Grammar/style improvements, readability checks, or translation support (human-edited and fact-checked).
  • Multimedia Support — Creating preliminary visuals, charts, or illustrations for editorial review (e.g., data viz from verified sources).
  • Internal Tools — Backend tasks like metadata generation, transcription assistance, or accessibility features (e.g., alt text suggestions).

All such uses require approval from a senior editor and must start with vetted, factual inputs.

3. Prohibited Uses

  • Drafting or substantially rewriting publishable articles, opinion pieces, analyses, or features with GenAI as the primary author.
  • Generating fictional quotes, events, or data.
  • Altering photos, videos, or audio in ways that change meaning (consistent with our no-manipulation standards).
  • Inputting confidential source material, proprietary data, or paywalled content into external GenAI tools.
  • Creating content designed to mislead, sensationalize, or prioritize engagement over accuracy.
  • Using GenAI to circumvent ethical sourcing, fact-checking, or disclosure requirements.

4. Disclosure Requirements

  • Substantial Use — If GenAI contributes meaningfully (e.g., initial drafting of sections, image generation, or heavy data synthesis), we include a clear disclosure at the article's top or bottom, e.g.:

“This article was researched and initially drafted with assistance from [Tool Name, e.g., GPT-4o or Claude 3.5], under full human editorial oversight and fact-verification. All claims and conclusions are the responsibility of the human author(s).”

  • Minor Use — Grammar/style tools or basic research aids do not require disclosure unless they materially shape content.
  • AI-Generated Media — Any GenAI-created images, illustrations, or embeds are labeled (e.g., “AI-generated illustration for conceptual purposes”).
  • We disclose tool names, versions (where relevant), and how the tool was used when it adds meaningful value or transparency for readers.

5. Accountability & Review

  • Staff and contributors must report GenAI use internally when it exceeds minor assistance.
  • Editors review all GenAI-assisted content for accuracy, bias, and alignment with our standards.
  • Violations may result in content correction, retraction, contributor sanctions, or other measures.
  • We periodically update this policy as technology and best practices evolve.

6. Reader Feedback & Concerns
